The Fashion Week in New York took a step to the Olympic Games on Monday with shades of gold, silver and bronze Carolina Herrera included in a collection with an air of Russian influence.
“A little gloss gives a lot to your wardrobe,” said Tracy Reese backstage before the parade. “You can wear with jeans and a little fancy things, because it can be more formal.
Metallic fabrics were one of the most important aspects in the collections of the Venezuelan Herrera, Rachel Roy, Luca Luca, Zac Posen and Diane von Furstenberg, among others. Some less brilliant hues added style to stay within a range obscure the progress that has dominated the Fall Fashion Week.
“My mom said that all the girls like a little shine,” Reese said.
Herrera presented luxurious pieces like a jacket with a mosaic pattern in royal blue and a mink collar accompanied by a pair of caramel color Gamus. Another of his pieces was a leading light blue jacket and blue metallic with beaded leaves and a layer of tulle around the neck.
Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera and Lee Radziwill were among the personalities who attended the parade in this Latin American designer.
Herrera made Russian-style winks in the general proposal, which could be noted in the choice of colors, the use of fur and their tissue type. The models for the day also included hats with full wings.
The designer usually marks a clear difference between pieces of day and night, it’s almost impossible to find a piece that works for him all day. Presented in this parade wearing jackets and asymmetrical vertical folds in bright red wool for day and evening dresses in black and metallic organza with a little red for the night.
